Just once, I would like to see a day go by where I view the "daily features" at deviantArt and there is not a single piece which includes nudity.

Don't get me wrong, I think erotic and artistic nude photography has the potential to be among the greatest art the world will ever see.

BUT....

I don't think it all is.

It's not like people who post that stuff don't get as much as 20 or 30 times as many pages views as those of us who don't do that type of work; is it really necessary to bring *more* attention to it every day?

The only reason I point it out is that its almost every (if not every) day that I see a featured item which includes nudity. "So what?" you say. "Well, how often do architecture pieces get featured? Or still life? Or any number of other art categories (hell, even *beyond* the realm of photography.)" The point is, you may go weeks at a time without seeing one of these other art forms "featured" but somehow a nude slips in every single day.

Seems less like showcasing the best artwork and more like showcasing what's popular....and as we all know: sex sells.
